The Role

The Business Development Acquisition Associate is a newly created role that will work directly with our VP Acquisitions and business development team daily on qualifying acquisition opportunities that fuel the future growth of Thrasio! You will be qualifying opportunities on a daily basis that operate brands on Amazon. Some of the day to day might include:

  • Creating a financial model for each merger & acquisition target to assist in determining whether the business is a viable opportunity to pass on to our M&A team for due diligence
  • Conducting competitive research and analysis
  • Supporting other members of the team on ad hoc analysis, special projects, and reporting.
  • Managing our deal database and writing internal business reports

What You Bring to the Party

  • 1-3 yrs of experience in a similar role, with experience in a Private Equity, Venture Capital, or M&A environment preferred
  • Ability to analyze profit and loss statements, including building profit and loss statements
  • A hunters mentality
  • Strong project management, planning, and organization skills, including ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment; ability to lead and navigate through ambiguity
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills (including a working knowledge of finance/accounting)
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
