The VP, Group Accounts will lead multiple Email Practice client relationships by creating and driving a strategic vision for each account. Working in coordination with enterprise sales, enterprise client services, and cross functional teams, the VP, Group Accounts will own email client growth plans (including email, SMS, and PUSH channels as required) aimed at increasing the personalization of client programs, building and maintaining executive relationships between Epsilon and Email Practice clients, and outlining new opportunities to grow business within accounts.

A successful VP, Group Accounts will demonstrate the ability to:

  • Proactively identify and cultivate relationships with all individuals who influence, buy, or have a stake in Epsilon solutions and/or services
  • Quantify and articulate compelling business value from Epsilon solutions

  • Hit revenue, profit, and client satisfaction targets (manage the profit & loss of all assigned client)

  • Maintain 95% or better Client Retention
  • Generate consistent year-over-year growth

  • Contribute to department growth and development initiatives

  • Advocate the Email Practice personalization vision internally and externally

Responsibilities:

The primary responsibility of the VP, Group Accounts is to effectively lead a team of professionals comprised of both internal Epsilon associates and client staff to mutually successful partnerships. This will include:

  • Developing in-depth knowledge of each client's business/industry, strategic objectives and annual goals; key trends, disruptors, economics; near-term client objectives and how they tie to longer term strategies
  • Execute account strategies to generate sustainable year-over-year revenue growth

  • Communicating client needs to the overall account teams (delivery, client services, sales, strategic consulting and partner organizations)

  • Leading cross functional teams to create and execute on quarterly and annual account plans

  • Building strong consultative relationships with key client executives and navigating various levels within the client organization and across marketing, IT, and procurement functions

  • Meeting with and maintaining onsite presence with clients (up to 40% travel)

  • Playing a leadership role in pursuits, proposals and overall account management

  • Acting as the voice of the client for solution design

  • Provide mentoring for key Epsilon Client Services team members

  • Serving as an escalation point for key challenges with accountability for resolution of client issues

  • Proactively assessing the clients' growth landscapes, and continuously updating clients with Epsilon's offerings and solutions

Qualifications

  • 10-15 years' experience as account relationship and/or business development manager serving Fortune 500 clients
  • Experience working autonomously in and with large, highly-matrixed corporate environments

  • Proficiency in effectively managing multiple competing priorities
  • Proven ability achieving against high growth/sales targets
  • Experience working in a consultative manner with clients and serving as a key advisor and partner

  • Experience leading high-stakes work (e.g. key accounts, strategic initiatives)

  • Demonstrated ability to uncover underlying client business needs and align Epsilon solutions to address them

  • Experience in fast-changing environments with proven problem-solving skills

  • Experience managing challenging (external) stakeholders
  • Track record of delivering against revenue commitments

  • Proven ability to uncover new areas for growth leveraging Epsilon products and solutions

  • Track record of delivering high impact solutions and experiences, collaborating with cross functional teams, and driving vision and purpose

  • Relevant vertical industry experience and knowledge, preferably in leadership or account management roles

  • Deep and varied expertise in digital marketing, including familiarity with marketing strategy, analytics, and technology

  • Passion for client service and delivering positive business outcomes for clients

  • Success in playing a leading role within a matrixed account team
  • Strong background in crafting and delivering proposals
  • Ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams in multiple client pursuits and initiatives concurrently

  • Strong business insight and strategic mindset
  • Poise, executive presence, outstanding communications skills
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
