Seismic : Video Producer and Editor

This role is critical to driving our video storytelling strategy and will produce and edit inspiring stories that elevate the Seismic brand & product. You will join the Seismic Brand design team and work closely with our in-house mograph designer and VO talent, alongside the entire brand team to elevate your work and ideas. Video Producer & Editor Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in video strategy, video content pipeline generation and video production
  • Collaborate across the organization to understand needs, objectives and effectively scope projects
  • Concept, plan, direct, produce, and edit videos for Seismic
  • Drive the development of each project from pre-production budgeting, stakeholder expectations, content writing, storyboarding, and handoff to design
  • Think broadly and creatively to distill complex product messaging and pain points to engrossing and captivating stories
  • Manage video project pipeline ensuring schedules are met and on budget
  • Lead video shoots including hiring and managing camera crews and directing non-professional talent on production days
  • Collaborate across teams to understand project needs and drive alignment to a greater content strategy
  • Manage Seismics video studio including scheduling, maintaining the studio location (at our headquarters in San Diego) and ensure all gear is properly managed and maintained

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years creating video content agency or in-house
  • Passionate about telling amazing stories and energized about collaborating across teams
  • Working knowledge and experience across every part of the video production process
  • Youve been up against tight deadlines, can problem-solve on the fly and know how to gracefully navigate challenging situations
  • Excellent communication skills, comfortable working with executives and customers
  • Proven track record of managing successful projects from concept to completion including budgets, scripts, creative briefs, schedules
  • You have experience identifying, hiring, managing a crew for off-site production needs
  • Comfortable working independently to successfully complete multiple projects in tandem
  • Proven experience leading a creative project from pre-production through post to publish
  • Proficiency with cinematography, sound, and video editing software (e.g., Avid, Final Cut Pro, Adobe After Effects, SoundDesign software like ProTools, etc)
  • Must have solid, demonstrable editing skills
  • A track record of producing customer stories, promotional videos and more
  • You know your way around a studio and can manage a physical video facility
