TRUX is looking for a Lead UX/UI Designer to take our platforms user experience to new heights. Your focus will be on the mobile-first end-user experience and work closely with the Engineering and Product teams.


This is a rare opportunity to have an outsized impact as a design leader. Youll be a key part of a small design team working on high-visibility initiatives in a successful, well-funded, growing startup. Youll work in a multidisciplinary environment where youll be challenged to learn a lot, embrace complexity, think holistically, share and contribute on many levels, and play an important role in building something amazing.


This role reports into the TRUX Product team where we are dedicated to building the next generation of web and mobile products that will transform the construction industry. We are focused on creating compelling new software experiences for many different users in an industry historically underserved by technology.


Responsibilities:

Establish and enforce the TRUX standard of design best practices in information architecture, user experience, interaction design, and user interfaces.

Work closely with the product management team to create compelling experiences and designs that realize our shared vision and objectives.

Create sketches, detailed wireframes, user flows, and high fidelity mockups and effectively communicate them clearly to relevant teams, both internal and external.

Initiate and manage user experience research and testing processes, and perform metrics analysis to inform design/UX optimization efforts.

Conduct user interviews, customer feedback sessions and other usability studies to generate customer insights for new and existing product features and offerings

Develop and maintain collaborative UI tools like design toolkits, brand books and style guides.

Drive the design review cycle, close on design requirements, and achieve consensus

Work directly with engineers through implementation, testing, documentation, and release.

Set up experiments and feedback loops to measure forecasted and actual results.

Develop user personas and journey maps based on qualitative and quantitative data to inform marketing, sales and product development.

Think about the user experience from start-to-finish with a focus on simplifying complex data into easy to understand dashboards, intuitive use, and beautiful design.


Qualifications:

6+ years of experience as a professional designer with a preference given to those with interface design on mobile and web along.

Thrive in a fast-paced, high pressure, start-up culture with great ambitions.

Experience leading UX and UI design teams or initiatives for highly functional mobile apps and web applications.

Experience managing and balancing the needs and inputs from a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.

A portfolio or work samples demonstrating a range of artifacts developed in creating a variety of stunning user-centered design solutions.

Strong understanding of usability and accessibility principles.

Unabashed enthusiasm to engage with our users and stakeholders.

Demonstrated fluency in best practices for web-based and mobile information architecture and responsive design, as well as deep and broad knowledge of usability principles and techniques.
