Were the Enterprise Product Design team at Wayfair, and were looking for a talented UX Research Specialist to join a team dedicated to business partners, suppliers, and operations: the backbone of Wayfairs customer experience. Your demonstrated skillset must include the analysis of user needs and stakeholder concerns to develop the right research questions, select the most productive and efficient research methods, and, ultimately, deliver insights that move the needle for both the user experience and the business. You should have experience working directly with Stakeholders, Product Managers, and Engineers to prioritize, specify, and deliver highly-transactional user experiences. As a Wayfair UX Researcher focused on internal/supplier systems, youll join a diverse, multidisciplinary team of world-class professionals who are hard at work transforming the online ecosystem and toolset behind Wayfair.coms success. What we are looking for:

  • Demonstrable experience with multiple usability and related research methods.

  • Experience with current tools for web and mobile product research.

  • Ability to work on multiple projects running concurrently.

  • A passion for UX research.

  • Inspire and mentor colleagues interested in research as a skill and practice.

  • Ability to effectively communicate qualitative data into actionable UX goals.

What youll do:

  • Raise the bar for UX Research at Wayfair

  • Develop best practices & protocols for research techniques commonly used at Wayfair

  • Mentor & partner with UX teams to develop research strategies based on project needs

  • Evangelize UX research and ensure the dissemination of research findings throughout Wayfair

  • Work closely with Product Management, Engineering, and QA

  • Support and influence product planning and prioritization

Qualifications:

Masters Degree

  • 3+ years of experience in the user experience field where user research is a core activity.

  • Masters degree in Human Factors, Experimental/Cognitive Psychology, HCI, or related field and/or commensurate experience.

  • Skilled in: Executing studies including but not limited to focus groups, card sorting, affinitization, contextual inquiry, user interviews, task analysis, usability studies, co-discovery, and surveys.

  • Ability to mentor others in UX research methods.

  • Collection and crystallization of user attributes and needs

  • Experience working in an Agile environment a plus.

  • Must possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and persuasion skills.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Comfortable with fast-paced work environment and responsibilities for multiple projects at any given time
