PatientsLikeMe is looking for a UX Designer to join an amazing team of multidisciplinary designers in delivering unparalleled experiences in digital health products and services. Being part of a growing team

What you need to be successful:

Strong understanding of design methodologies

You are equally comfortable in data and design. Empathy and critical thinking are your tools of your trade. You can translate complex ideas onto paper, and into a working prototype, that is ready for validation with users and stakeholders alike. You graciously translate feedback into action, throughout the product life-cycle.

Work with any team any time

You work closely with our product managers and engineers in an agile cadence. You consider time management, scope, and getting stakeholder consensus when meeting deadlines. Co-creation is part of your DNA, you value ideas from everywhere and everyone.

A champion for people-center design

You have experience in conducting a variety of UX research methods for, and synthesizing, both qualitative and quantitative user research studies.

Requirements:

  • 3-7 years designing responsive web apps or mobile software products
  • A portfolio or case studies that highlight your problems solving abilities
  • An eye for consistency and an ability to move ideas from abstract to actionable with little oversight or guidance
  • Fluent in modern collaborative design, but also appreciates value of traditional tools and understands what to use and when

Additional desired qualifications:

  • A bachelors degree or above in a design related discipline
  • Experience in healthcare or similar regulated/complex consumer environment
  • Experience in designing for native mobile apps
  • Understanding of accessibility guidelines for web and mobile apps
