mabl’s mission is to enable software teams to rapidly deliver high-quality products to their users. The company’s first product makes it easy for anyone to create, run, and maintain automated tests for their web sites and applications. Bringing this power and simplicity to millions of people around the world presents an incredible opportunity for our entire team, and an exceptionally intriguing one from a UX perspective.
This is your chance to work with a team that values user experience deeply. At mabl, you’ll have the opportunity to work across research, design, and validation on problems that are central to the company’s mission. Over the next year we are taking mabl’s design and usability to the next level. This is a challenging project, requiring us to deliver incremental improvements to the core product while continuing to add new features to the product at an unprecedented pace.
As our second UX Designer, you will be a key part of this effort, leveraging your strengths and picking up new skills along the way. You’ll work with a smart, senior, and high performing product team that knows how to deliver software. mabl has a supportive environment where you can expand your skills and, when needed, go to outside experts to fill any gaps.
UX at mabl
The burgeoning mabl UX team is focused on ensuring our young product meets our customers’ needs. We bring insights to the entire company through user research and feedback and champion user-centered design practices. Our goal is to inform and empower teams with insights that help them deliver better products.
We conduct and coordinate user research activities, dive into challenging interaction and visual designs, and conduct usability tests to identify and address usability issues. From time to time we even commit UI changes!
Based on research and usage data we invest heavily in improving ease of use and scalability while continually enhancing the overall product.
You may be a UX generalist or you may be stronger in research, visual design, interaction design, or information architecture. However, no matter how you describe yourself, you are definitely passionate about understanding and solving people’s problems.
Here are some more qualities we are looking for:
- You have experience collaborating with diverse teams to deliver the best design possible.
- You believe that direct user research, user feedback, and usage data are critical to the design process.
- You recognize and advocate for UX activities that require a longer lead-time before code is written.
- You have experience adding functionality to an evolving SaaS product. You’ve refactored or redesigned aspects of a product and rolled out large changes incrementally.
