An audacious goal

We want to re-imagine our products (used by thousands of employees across the world) with responsive designs that both radically simplify the complex visual merchandising planning processes for HQ staff and delight and engage the store associates of all generations who execute these plans.  These designs need to seamlessly bridge laptops to phones.



What you'll do

You can play a big role in a lean UX |innovation group if you:


  • Have a progressive design sensibility with the ability to articulate interactive design principles and their application.

  • Understand business needs and effectively explain how design solutions align with strategy.

  • Are driven to research the latest technologies and push the boundaries of what’s creatively possible in mobile UI design.

  • Enthusiastically collaborate with stakeholders including product managers to produce user design solutions that meet needs, delight and achieve measurable business goals.  

  • Have the ability to produce sketches, wireframes, navigation, highly-polished look and feel screens under tight time constraints

  • Can manage multiple simultaneous projects and bring projects to fruition with little management oversight

  • Can advocate for design consistency across product platforms with a strong, informed and defensible POV while respecting the unique purposes of each.


Your qualifications

  • Good working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Javascript, and familiarity with software development concepts and processes (e.g., version control, ticketing systems, Agile methodology). Sufficient to productively interface with engineering.

  • Experience with Enterprise and B2C software; Web and native iOS mobile app experience.

  • Strong understanding of usability and accessibility principles

  • Native Android and IOS mobile app experience, mastery of Android and IOS design principles and top notch visual design skills are required.

  • Strong tendency towards visual thinking-storyboards and sketching- to communicate design concepts.

  • The ability to work with design templates and patterns to create and maintain a scalable and consistent product. Proficiency with Sketch, and Zeplin required.

  • An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating your high fidelity-designs and include web-based and native app mobile examples.

  • BFA/BA in graphics | web design or equivalent and 3-5  years experience.
