The Position: Events Manager Were seeking someone who is passionate about creating incredible event experiences that generate moments of engagement, learning and interactions that have visitors feeling excited and proud to be a part of the Mendix Maker Community.

The Events Manager will be responsible for the planning and coordination of industry trade shows and conferences helping to ensure corporate objectives and budgets are met. Successful candidates are highly organized individuals able to communicate clearly and effectively with the ability to pay strong attention to detail and handle multiple projects from start to finish. Youll work strategically with marketing, product marketing, sales and leadership stakeholders to plan, project manage and execute marketing events and trade shows designed to attract customer interest, and brand awareness.

As a data-driven marketer, you understand the importance of measuring ROI and tracking spend. You seek out best in class customer event practices to continuously improve our events strategy and tactics.


Responsibilities:

Provide event management expertise to stakeholders from planning through event execution and follow-up.

Project Manage all aspects of events and trade shows from go-live to follow-up

Close engagement with sales teams to brief, leverage for onsite attendee meetings and post event follow up.

Manage event budget

Based on project, specific duties could include:

Site research, selection and contract negotiations

Create and maintain online registration site

Arrange and monitor travel

Maintain attendee registration data and the housing list

Organize and communicate logistics for A/V, internet, hotel rooms, equipment rental, parking, air and ground transportation, food and beverage, etc.

Travel 25% to events to provide onsite management and execution as needed

Understanding of events impact on marketing funnel and sales pipeline a plus


Qualifications:

BA/BS degree

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast paced and changing environment

2-4 Years of event/contract management

2-4 years of using events to drive Brand Awareness, Demand Generation and Sales Enablement

Exceptional project management skills with attention to detail

Ability to multitask to meet deadlines

Ability to work independentlyand with a sense of urgency

Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Ability to travel 4 to 8 times per year

Proficiency with MS Office, Office 365 and Excel
