The platform only delivers on its promise if it integrates with our customers environments. Those integrations must be well-designed, easy to deploy and supportable by Rapid.

You will work with internal Rapid7 teams and the companys growing Rapid7 partner network to ensure we prioritize integrations that drive the maximum market impact and service the broadest addressable market. This role is also critical is liaising with Technology Partners in determining their integrations use-cases and support needs as we build the biggest technology ecosystem! The scope of your responsibilities will grow as needed to make sure that you can succeed in your job and drive the maximum impact!

Job Responsibilities:

  • Participate in functional and technical requirements gathering and review

  • Lead architectural/design discussions with integration architects, product, and development teams to maximize overall opportunity

  • Work with the development team on an ongoing basis to deliver the planned stories with each release

  • Create and maintain the product backlog for specific integration related initiatives

  • Conduct planning sessions with the teams to prioritize work in upcoming sprints

  • Engage directly and daily with delivery teams to execute the project

  • Ensure product acceptance and readiness at key phases of the delivery cycle

  • Attend and lead design sessions with potential customers and technology partners

  • Own the certification process for partner integrations

  • Act as the main technical liaison between Rapid7 product/platform teams and partners when troubleshooting integration issues in the field

  • Build and maintain relationships with technical leaders in our partner organization to align roadmaps and changes that impact integrations.

  • Consult the alliances organization on integration best practices, and act as the key technical expert for the team

  • Document and communicate release artifacts and implications

Job Requirements:

  • You dont have to be a code-committing developer, but you do need demonstrated technical understanding of APIs, integration best practices, and a conversational understanding of development technologies. Concepts like JSON, CRUD, REST are right in your wheelhouse

  • If you read our API documentation, you would understand it and be able to explain it to others

  • You have held a technical role in a software company before or youve worked as a technical product manager

  • You genuinely like working cross-functionally, and can handle working with the respective teams various business motivations

  • You like learning about the technical environments of lots of different solutions

  • Youre cool and fun to hang out with

  • Your get shit done orientation is very high

Extra Credit:

  • You have worked in the security industry

  • You know Rapid7 products

  • You have actually built integrations. Any coding experience is definitely a plus
