Our team is looking for a Staff Accountant to join our finance team. This role is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced junior accounting professional seeking a fast paced, dynamic and high energy work environment. We are looking for a candidate with strong communication skills and a desire to learn new things. This role will require collaboration with almost all aspects of the business, with primary goals of ensuring accurate recognition and reporting of all transactions, and helping the organization hit its financial goals.

What youll be doing:

  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations, recurring cash entries, and other treasury functions.

  • Prepare monthly credit card transactions for upload to the general ledger.

  • Responsible for timely monthly balance sheet reconciliations.

  • Prepare monthly accruals, including both recurring and one-time operational expenses.

  • Participate in annual financial statement audit and other audits as required.

  • Analyze and identify unusual trends or erroneous entries and verifies accuracy of transactions and balances.

  • Play key role in establishing and implementing effective accounting policies, procedures, and internal control framework.

  • Be proactive and identify areas in need of improvement and take action to implement process improvements when appropriate to increase overall department capacity.

  • Support special projects as needed including system implementations.

  • Provide effective and timely follow through with internal and external inquiries.

  • Other duties as assigned, commensurate with the level and scope of the position.

What youll bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.

  • 2 to 4 years of accounting work experience.

  • Public Accounting experience a plus.

  • Solid knowledge of US GAAP requirements.

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

  • Ability to work independently and adapt to a fast-paced environment is required.

  • NetSuite experience a plus.

  • Some operational accounting industry experience preferred.

  • High level of verbal and written communication skills
