We are seeking a strategic and analytic leader to establish a new function within Simplisafe, focused on generating demand, optimizing our economics, and forecasting to enable planning across the organization. Given that, we are looking for an experienced leader who is comfortable diving into a complex business and developing a roadmap to rapidly learn and add value.

What You'll Do

Pricing and promotions:

  • Develop pricing strategies, guidelines, and guardrails that are aligned with business and brand strategy as well as financial objectives
  • Ensure that pricing and promotions tactics are clear and fair to customers as well as aligned with legal best practices
  • Build and maintain a promotional calendar of broad and targeted offers and evaluate their effectiveness
  • Build and execute a learning agenda to understand elasticity, elements of optimization such as length and depth of discounting, and new approaches to promotions
  • Provide input into pricing for new product launches and design and analyze tests to optimize pricing post launch
  • Identify new pricing and promotional mechanisms to aid in conversion and subscription activation
  • Partner with CRM team to develop a more personalized approach to engage with leads

Forecasting:

  • Build a daily forecast model based on past performance, macro trends, and media mix, as well as taking into account new insights about key levers 
  • Continue to explore inputs to the forecast model to increase accuracy and better understand the drivers of our business
  • Participate in the S&OP process by sharing forecast and understanding the levers to modify as necessary

What You'll Need

  • 6-8 years of experience in pricing, promotions, and forecasting, preferably in B2C or ecommerce environments
  • Analytic, systems thinker with the ability to understand the impact of pricing and promotions on both long and short term results
  • Appreciation for the customer journey and experience so that the pricing and promotions decisions can be made in light of how they may be presented to customers across their decision experience
  • Collaboration mindset in order to both take input from a broad range of partners as well as communicate updates frequently and clearly 
  • Ability to structure challenging problems and establish a roadmap to achieve goals
  • Management experience as this role will hire an analyst to support him or her
