: Sr. Director, Product Analytics

Our Opportunity:

Chewy is hiring a Director, Analytics to build and lead analytics for our Autoship business and join our team in Boston, MA. Autoship is one of our core business drivers and accounts for a significant part of the Companys revenue. As Director, Analytics, you will report to the Vice President, Autoship and be responsible for building the analytics team, creating the infrastructure, and developing actionable business insights using various deep analytics techniques. The culture of data driven decision making runs deep at Chewy, and youll play a key part in leading our efforts to deeply understand our customer, ultimately bringing key insights to the surface that will drive strategic business decisions. The leader in this role will be responsible for building a world class Data & Analytics function for Chewy Autoship. This team of analytical heavy hitters will be responsible for translating business questions into actionable, insightful analysis.

What You'll Do:

  • Build and develop the new Autoship Analytics team made up of Analysts and Data Scientists at various levels
  • Assess the impact of various strategic scenarios using dynamic analytical models
  • Develop in-depth familiarity of relevant data sources, business intelligence technologies, and analytical tools
  • Identify insights that will change the future of Autoship at Chewy by leading the prioritization and execution of critical analyses
  • Work cross-functional to understand business challenges, anticipate asks, and deliver quick and relevant analyses
  • Clearly and concisely present strategic recommendations to senior leaders and explain assumptions and methodologies to colleagues in other departments
  • Retrieve, synthesize, and present critical data in a format that is immediately useful to shaping business decisions, monitoring business performance and improving system performance

What You'll Need:

  • Advanced Degree in Economics, Statistics, Econometrics, Mathematics or related quantitative field. MBA with a concentration in Quantitative Analysis or related highly preferred
  • 10+ years of analytics experience with at least 4+ years leading a team of analysts in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-tech and customer obsessed environment
  • Superior communication and analytical skills, including strong ability to identify and solve ambiguous problems using data and analysis
  • Ability to present complicated/advanced analytical methodology and results to non-technical audiences
  • Excellent quantitative modeling, statistical analysis skills and problem-solving skills
  • Related experience in an e-commerce organization with a recurring revenue model is a strong plus
  • Relevant experience with big data technologies and infrastructure, and cloud warehouses
  • Position may require travel
