Employee Testimonials

Predrag Gruevski, Kensho

"Kensho has been using GraphQL in a highly unusual way — by compiling each query directly into a single, optimized database query. Our GraphQL compiler is now available to the community as an open-source project."

Predrag Gruevski   –   System Architecture Engineer
Bukola Ayodele Kensho

"One of the great things about working at Kensho is how much ownership you have over your work. Engineers are encouraged to take charge, and you have a lot of say on the direction of your project."

Bukola Ayodele   –   Software Engineer
Anthony Liu Kensho

"I'm a lot less cynical about finance than I was before. Having studied a lot of its more complicated products in depth, I undertand more of their purpose, what they're trying to do, how they're trying to function."

Anthony Liu   –   ML Engineer
Adam Norbury Kensho

"Work-life balance at Kensho is perfect for me. You're given a lot of autonomy in work schedule and location. I have two small children and the rest of my family live in the UK. Working at Kensho, I'm solving really cool and interesting problems AND I get time to spend with all my family."

Adam Norbury   –   UX/UI Design
Aron Szanto Kensho

"What makes Kensho so amazing is its intellectual diversity. At any one point, there's probably a high-level discussion about abstract type systems going on right next to a rip-roaring chess game, all supervised by two or three adorable puppies."

Aron Szanto   –   ML Engineer
Adity Dokania Kensho

"Kensh-ins know how to keep the work environment fun and lively. In the past we have had multiple social activities keeping in mind the diverse set of employees. We have hosted ping pong tournaments, TGITs, bowling, kayaking, board games, poker & trivia nights to name a few."

Adity Dokania   –   Head of Infrastructure & DevOps
Michaela Shtilman‑Minkin Kensho

My advice to candidates is to be honest about what you know and don't know and don't hesitate to ask questions. Kenshins are intellectually curious, humble, and honest - if we don't know something, we are not afraid to admit it and look for an answer amongst our peers, who are brilliant and eager to help.

Michaela Shtilman‑Minkin   –   Software Engineer
Minh Jennifer Radel Kensho

"As an engineer, I have always wanted my job to intellectually challenge me. However, I have also always wanted a supportive network of understanding and kind people. I believe most jobs can offer you exposure to the latest technologies and tools, but Kensho is unique for providing me both interesting problems and a genuinely authentic and caring culture."

Minh Jennifer Radel   –   Software Engineer
