We are looking for a creative and energetic Sr. Software Release Engineer who is passionate about contributing to driving innovation of developing L4/L5 robotaxis by designing, implementing, and executing release management processes. You will have the opportunity to create tools and automate release activities in an Agile environment for our Autonomous Vehicle software stack. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams across the organization, focusing on bringing together sub-system components into a complete system-based release.
You will be responsible for streamlining of our release processes, by developing tools and automation infrastructure. You will work with and support a group of Release Managers who are responsible for the release of individual components. Youll also work with other engineers to design and develop tools and services to help product management and project teams manage and deploy releases into production.

What you'll be doing:
- Collaborate with Team Leads, Test Leads, Vehicle Teams, TPMs, Product Managers, and other functional areas within the organization to create tools and automation infrastructure to support our release management activities.
- Collaborate with DevOps, Team Leads, and Component Release Engineers to design and build efficient release automation tools, to help improve and streamline the release process.
- Assist with automating release management processes in Atlassian JIRA.
- Review and provide feedback on the Software Release Management (RM) process. This includes all aspects of the release process, such as planning, change management, build & delivery, and design & development of RM infrastructure & tools.
- Design and implement KPIs to measure the effectiveness and performance of the Software Release Process throughout the organization.
- Define and enforce proper versioning of technical work.
What we're looking for:
- A bachelor's degree and 5+ years of related professional experience (or a master's degree).
- Hands-on experience with release management of complex software systems.
- General knowledge of every aspect of the software development and release process, as well as source control change management, dependency management, continuous integration and deployment, and automation.
- Excellent decision-making skills and ability to influence without functional authority.
- Experience with CI/CD technologies such as Jenkins pipelines, Docker, and VM deployments.
- Experience with build systems (CMake, Make, Gradle or equivalent) and packaging tools (Debian, Conan.io, or similar).
- Strong background in Linux/Unix administration.
- Experience in a multi-platform environment.
- Experience with Atlassian software development and management tools.
