We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team with a passion for delivering high-performance, quality platform services like provisioning, authentication, user management etc. that will be leveraged by other Cogito services. The ideal candidate is an excellent software developer with devops expertise who has a strong desire to deliver scalable, stable infrastructure components.


  • Write tested, idiomatic, and documented code
  • Develop products using agile methods and tools
  • Utilize AWS technologies to solve business problems
  • Automate and manage CI/CD pipelines
  • Evaluate service and infrastructure usage to effectively manage performance, capacity and cost automating solutions wherever possible
  • Proactively monitor service metrics seeking out potential issues before impact to production service levels
  • Conduct systems tests for security, performance, and availability
  • Develop and maintain design and troubleshooting documentation


  • Bachelor or advanced degree in engineering, computer science, or another relevant field
  • 3+ years of professional software development experience with Java or Python
  • 2+ Years of devops experience
  • Flexibility to work across teams
  • Ability and willingness to learn new tools and technologies


  • Programming skills in language like Java/ Javascript / Groovy
  • Experience with Test automation framework & tools
  • Scripting languages (Bash, Powershell, Python, Perl etc)
  • Application Build & Deployment Automation Concepts & Tools (e.g., Puppet, Ansible, Chef, Docker, Nagios, etc.)
  • Familiar with Build Tools & Platforms (e.g., Jenkins, Maven, etc.)
  • Experience/understanding of AWS and public cloud ecosystems
  • Knowledge of Security and Privacy best practices
  • Experience/exposure to SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Experience building scalable, high performance services
  • Good grasp of security and data protection principles
  • Experience with authentication and authorization concepts is a big plus
  • Proficient in a source controll (e.g., Git, Subversion or CVS)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
