America's Test Kitchen: Senior Product Manager
21 Drydock Avenue
Boston , MA 02110

America’s Test Kitchen is a media company that publishes magazines, cookbooks, produces television shows and a portfolio of membership-based web sites. We are passionate about cooking and about helping curious cooks become confident ones.

We are seeking an energetic and hardworking Senior Product Manager who will focus primarily on expanding our digital subscription business; broadly this means supporting how people move from being digital visitors to becoming digital subscribers.

This role will work with a variety of teams here at America’s Test Kitchen and we’re looking for someone who can act as a problem-solver, a project manager, and a collaborator depending on the situation. Successful candidates will be able to work closely with both our software engineering team and our digital marketing teams. Our office is located in the Seaport District in Boston.

  • Lead business requirement gathering and feature definition that supports selling digital subscriptions on the web and in-app. This includes working with key vendors or 3rd parties as appropriate

  • Become an in-house expert on how to target audience segments with appropriate offers

  • Provide hands-on acceptance testing for new features and support our QA team in triaging bugs

  • Provide regular visibility into the status of ongoing work and provide regular updates about potential options or tradeoffs

  • Test, measure and learn from launched products and feed learnings back into the site experience

  • Work closely with our software engineering team to understand our tech stack and how our sites are built and maintained

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience; 5+ years of experience in a product role preferred.

  • This is a senior product role in a small team; we’re looking for someone who can both think big picture and be hands-on as needed

  • You’ve owned at least one significant project from beginning to end and can talk about the results, what went well and what you would do differently

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tackle both smaller tasks and larger projects

  • Strong project management skills and the ability to break down complex work and communicate it out to stakeholders

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; you’re comfortable leading meetings and presenting in both small and large groups

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Previous experience with MixPanel, Google Analytics, or Tableau is a plus. It would also be nice if you know your way around a spreadsheet.

  • You’ve used some type of project tracking software before (we’re currently an Atlassian/Jira team) and are excited to use it again

  • We’re a consumer-based business so if you have previous experience working with digital subscriptions  let’s talk about that
