As an integral member of our Digital Design group, the Senior Product Designer contributes to digital product design efforts and solves complex business challenges under the supervision of an experienced design lead or manager. Works independently based on strategic direction and requires limited direction.
This role will support Attain by Aetna, a first-of-its-kind health experience that combines a users health history with simple, day-to-day actions to help users learn healthier behaviors and ultimately lead healthier lives.
Collaborate with design team members and product, business and technology partners to ensure shared understanding of business and user goals
Lead the creation of UI flows working with content strategists, UX, design systems and accessibility teams to ensure all work is compliant with our brand, copy and accessibility guidelines
Create prototypes for usability testing and work with more senior team members to define customer personas, user flows and final UI decisions
Work with engineering to setup and deliver high fidelity UI in all platforms and ensure that the final user experience is pixel perfect and interactions are true to original intent
Create UX flows and wireframes with input from senior designers
Collaborate with senior designers and managers to design and define breakthrough user experiences, drawing inspiration from research, user goals, and the world around you
5+ years experience in UI Design; experience working in a blended UX/UI role is a plus
Strong portfolio of work including examples of mobile web, desktop and app experiences
Strong understanding of design system and component-based design
Strong understanding of native mobile and responsive web platforms and designing UI solutions within them
Ability to conceptualize, design, and deliver experiences, with demonstrable proficiency in Sketch and InVision
Ability to communicate user needs and demonstrate how proposed designs solve those to internal team and other stakeholders.
Ability to collaborate with designers, strategists, managers, technologists, product owners, scrum masters and engineering teams within an agile process
Ability to present to senior stakeholders and support UX work initiatives
Strong attention to detail and passion for excellence, with a comfort working independently
Appetite for inclusion & demonstrable proficiency with digital accessibility principles and practices
Knowledge of HTML, CSS and other web technologies
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Information Design, Interaction Design, Product Design, Human Factors or equivalent work experience
