Senior Performance Engineer (Intralinks, Inc., an SS&C company; Waltham, Massachusetts): The Senior Performance Engineer will be a part of the Engineering Team working on Intralinks SaaS platform that helps Enterprises across the world to securely collaborate and exchange mission-critical business content.
Overview
Specifically, the Senior Performance Engineer is responsible for the following: Designing and implementing automation frameworks for performance building, testing, deployment; Upgrading web-scale application services facilitating agility, velocity, and resiliency of software delivery.
Day To Day Responsibilities
Driving architecture discussions, performance optimizations, and end-to-end improvements into the platform with development architects and leads; Designing, executing and analyzing Load and performance test scenarios; Designing, executing and analyzing Capacity recommendations; Triaging and recommending performance tuning solutions; Serving as subject matter expert to peers on performance best practices and processes; Reviewing performance test scripts and test results created by other team members; Representing the team in all-hands meetings and cross team meetings as team lead; Reviewing resumes of candidates for the PaCE team, and interviewing candidates; and Assigning tasks to offshore team members, and providing guidance on demand.
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field plus 5 years of related experience in performance engineering of applications.
Must have:
- 5 years of experience with Load Testing tools such as SOASTA or Jmeter; Expert knowledge with Profiling tools such as Dynatrace or AppDynamics and advanced knowledge of Linux systems including networking, security, and file systems; and Proven skills in diagnosing problems involving networks and distributed components to identify/resolve system bottlenecks.
