Senior Microservices Software Engineer (SessionM, Inc.; Boston, MA): The Senior Microservices Software Engineer at SessionM will contribute to the development of Customer Data and Engagement Platform. The Senior Microservices Software Engineer will thrive on the challenge of pushing high-volume consumer and business platforms to their next level. Will design and develop scalable microservices, and design and implement features for large-scale systems used by millions of mobile users per day. Will leverage several technologies, including Linux, AWS, Cassandra, MySQL, AMQP, Redis, Ruby on Rails and GoLang, using an agile development process. Responsibilities include: Design and implement high availability GoLang based services and microservices that scale to millions and millions of requests per day; Develop core platform services and back-end APIs; Strong interest in developing quality infrastructure and processes; Create performant software, improve performance and maintain stability within the development life cycle; and be a team player with a winning attitude.
- Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field or its equivalent, plus 2 years of relevant experience. Alternatively, will accept a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field or its equivalent, plus 5 years of relevant experience.
- Proven demonstrated ability with the following: Golang, Java or C/C++, SQL, and Unix/Linux. Additionally, must be able to handle issues of service scaling and currency, have strong communication skills, have experience with high-volume internet services, and have familiarity with current scalable multi-data center distributed computing technologies on commodity servers and microservices. Unless otherwise indicated, employer is seeking the stated skills with no specific amount or years of experience required. All experience can be gained concurrently.
