Brief Overview:

The Senior Marketing Manager will play a critical role in the Marketing department. Specifically, the Senior Marketing Manager will be responsible for working with our pharmaceutical partners to develop a marketing strategy and support them through user acquisition and retention for their telehealth platform. Youll be managing large, sometimes multi-million-dollar, marketing programs for partners that include innovative pharmaceutical companies and big tech companies like Samsung and Philips, with an ever-broadening variety of partners.

You'll be responsible for driving utilization for partner telehealth programs, retaining and upselling these partners as marketing clients. You will have ample opportunity to tangibly impact the growth of American Wells marketing business.

Job Description:

  • Effectively partner with our strategic pharmaceutical clients, gaining the trust of the most senior client representatives at large, household-name companies
  • Develop a consistent track record of client upsells
  • Own results for partner marketing programs
  • Work with the account owner to define, report on, and optimize key metrics
  • Oversee the execution of marketing programs by client, in partnership with channel leads
  • Define processes that streamline internal workflows and drive scalable growth
  • Some travel required, 10-15%


  • Bachelors degree, MBA or equivalent preferred
  • 6+ years of experience in marketing or product management at a direct to consumer brand or agency
  • Experience with pharmaceutical marketing, including provider outreach and clinical trial recruitment preferred
  • Comfort and desire to work with clients, often at the most senior level
  • Strong presentation, PowerPoint, and Excel skills
  • Experience with a variety of marketing channels including paid digital, SEO, messaging, and content marketing
