Who We Are:

The Supply Chain Analytics team at Wayfair acts as a group of internal consultants and quantitative modeling experts. We work closely with the general management of our operations team to tackle a full range of transportation, warehousing, and delivery challenges. The results of our findings influence strategic vision, guide technological and infrastructural investments, and improve the day-to-day efficiency of a complex and sophisticated global supply chain.

What You'll Do:

  • Translate high-level business problems into concrete work streams that can be answered using data-driven modeling and analysis
  • Partner with cross-functional business stakeholders to identify, analyze, and implement initiatives that allow us to more effectively operate our supply chain network
  • Demonstrate strong motivation and ability to continuously improve business and analysis processes to keep pace with the rapid growth and scale of Wayfairs operations
  • Use analytical and quantitative skills to work with large and complex datasets, analyze ill-defined questions, build decision-support tools, and develop recommendations to guide business decisions
  • Develop and implement network optimization models to evaluate strategic scenarios
  • Present insights and recommendations clearly to diverse stakeholders encompassing all levels of the organization and successfully influence business partners and leadership
  • Supervise junior analysts to help answer business questions based on data and analysis

What Youll Need:

  • At least 5+ years of experience working in analytics roles in the transportation, supply chain or logistics industry and handling large-volume of transactional data
  • At least 3+ years of experience writing scripts in Python, R, or other languages used for processing large volume of data
  • At least 1 year of experience in leading an analytic team or executing on large-scale analytical programs
  • Strong written and verbal cross-functional communication skills to communicate with all levels of audience effectively
  • Passion for solving complex business problems
  • Positive, people-oriented, and enthusiastic, and can easily work with others, regardless of their analytical proficiency or technical competency
  • An advanced degree in industrial engineering, operations research, computer science, economics, statistics, mathematics or other concentrations with a heavy quantitative focus
