Position Overview

Boston Digital is looking to expand its talented team by adding a proven Senior Drupal Developer to join our growing Development team. The Senior Drupal Developer will serve as a consultant to our existing clients, understand requirements, make technical recommendations, and oversee and implement the development and deployment processes. We are searching for a self-starter and someone who wants to not only work on client sites but also contribute to the Drupal community.

Responsibilities

• Support previous development builds
• Create responsive front-end themes for Drupal websites
• Drupal configuration management, PHP templating, and theme preprocessing
• Using JavaScript and jQuery build interactive experiences
• Experience in developing custom modules for Drupal
• Understanding of the Drupal API
• Collaborate with a cross functional team including design, user experience, and marketing
• Contribute to team success by mentoring, presenting internally, and living the company values
• Apply security updates, patches, and upgrades to the core CMS and associated modules/plugins

Qualifications and Skills

Required:

• Fluent in the Linux Operating system
• Solid understanding of Git, and gitflow methodology
• Extensive full stack development experience, including PHP, Composer, HTML/Twig, SaaS, Gulp/Grunt
• A minimum of 4 years Drupal experience, preferably work done in Drupal 8
• Previous experience with Acquia Cloud or Pantheon hosting platforms
• Capable of understanding new technology quickly, especially involving third party integration (apis, web services, feeds, etc.)
• Client service experience
• Work with team to scope and estimate potential features or projects
• Understand, apply, and promote development standards and best practices
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies, and working with a structured change management process
• Bachelor’s degree (Computer Information Systems, Development, Information System Technologies, Management Information Systems, or equivalent experience)
• Ability to work onsite at Boston office location 

Preferred:

• Previous agency experience
• Acquia certification
