As the Sales Incentive Analyst working on global sales commissions, youll work to calculate and process commission payments and research any adjustments needed within the stated time requirements. Youll also work closely with internal stakeholders at Rapid7 including Finance, Payroll, and Sales Operations to ensure timely calculation, reporting, and payment of commissions, while researching and answering questions regarding commissions, sales and other related inquiries from the Sales Team, Executives, or Finance Team as needed.

In this role you will:

  • Accurately prepare the Monthly/Quarterly/Annual commissions and SPIF calculations, validate sales data, and make necessary adjustments

  • Partner with Finance, Payroll, Sales, and Sales Operations to ensure accurate and timely commission calculations and payments

  • Update the sales compensation system (Xactly) with actual sales results, individual quotas, employee information, and compensation plan information

  • Maintain and update Employee Data within our system

  • Provide ongoing support in resolving commission calculation-related inquiries and exceptions with the sales teams

  • Record monthly commission accrual journal entries in the accounting ERP system

  • Provide data or ad hoc reporting to Finance as needed for commissions and sales bonus accruals

  • Perform various reconciliations and validations of billings and sales crediting data

  • Develop and maintain training material for new hires

  • Help train new hires on incentive plans and Xactly navigation

  • Develop and maintain project documentation including scope documents

  • Assist with SOX documentation and compliance testing

  • Prepare and submit pay-sheets to Payroll for the timely processing of payments

  • 2-5 years of experience in Finance, Sales Operations, or Commissions

  • Detail-oriented, self-starter, quick learner, organized

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required, Xactly experience a plus

  • Innovative problem solver with strong analytical and decision-making skills

  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and work under pressure

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Discretion in discussing sensitive employee information

  • Ability to work in a team or independently

  • Bachelors degree and/or equivalent experience
