About the role/ About the team:
Drifts Sales Development Representative program aims to develop a revenue pipeline for the sales team and people pipeline for the entire organization. Youll have the chance to learn from senior leadership and the potential for future roles in sales, marketing, and customer success with a rapidly changing and growing software company. This team is highly competitive and collaborative. Members of our team always want to finish first, but want their teammates to come in a very close second.
This role will be located remotely now. Post COVID, this role can be located in either Boston, MA or Tampa, FL.
What you will learn:
As a Sales Development Intern, you will learn how our team uses a combination of phone, email, social media, Drift and direct mail to help build our sales pipeline by connecting with prospective customers, understanding their unique needs, and identifying the best way to position Drift. Youll leave the internship with an understanding of how to prioritize accounts, develop a strategic approach to prospecting, and gain a foundation in a robust technology stack including Drift, Salesforce, Outreach, ZoomInfo, and LinkedIn Navigator.
What you will be doing:
You will support the sales development team in conducting research on their target accounts, help curate industry lists of companies and prospects that have a strong market fit for the Drift platform. You will write emails to prospects and receive feedback on how to create a message that is relevant, personalized, and how to tie those two things together. You will participate in role plays and call reviews and receive feedback on how to articulate a clear and enticing message to a prospect.
About you and what type of skills youll need:
- Graduation date in 2021 or 2022
- Successful completion of a remote internship may result in a full-time offer as an SDR in Tampa, FL or Boston, MA
- Ability to work in a high-energy sales team environment; phenomenal teammate
- Positive and energetic phone skills, excellent listening skills, strong writing skills
- Willingness to try new things and fall on your face
- Confident and love sharing success with your team
- Take extreme ownership of your work and continuously strive for improvement
- Ability to succeed without all the answers
