Release Train Engineer (Agile Program Manager)

We are currently looking for an Agile Release Train Engineer to oversee SDLC projects in our SAFe environment.  


  • Manage and optimize flow of value through ART and Solution Train
  • Facilitate PI planning events
  • Track and Publish track PI Objectives/Team progress for visibility and transparency
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as Scrum of Scrums, Inspect & Adapt, System/PI demo
  • Assist with economic decision-making by facilitating feature and capability estimation by teams and the roll-up to Epics, where necessary
  • Coach leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in Lean-Agile practices and mindsets
  • Help manage Risks and Dependencies; Escalate and track Impediments
  • Work with Product and Solution Management, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to help ensure strategy and execution alignment
  • Drive relentless improvement via Inspect and Adapt workshops; assess the agility level of the ART and Solution Train and help them improve
  • Work with Scrum masters to increase effectiveness of Agile; Foster Communities of Practice and the use of engineering and Built-In Quality practices
  • Partner with delivery leaders to ensure successful delivery against PI commitments


  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent
  • 9+ years of experience ensuring Scrum is understood and enacted by Product Engineering teams that adhere to Scrum theories and practices
  • 9+ years of experience with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
  • 2+ years of experience as a Release Train Engineer (RTE)
  • Demonstrated understanding and support of Agile delivery model, whether Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Lean Kanban, or another iterative development approach
  • Proven experience in leading continuous improvement and creating team empowerment
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and follow up communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences
  • Proficient knowledge of at least one Agile software management tool (Rally preferred)
  • CSM (Certified Scrum Master) and / or PMP preferred
