The Proposal Writer works under the direction of the Director, Sales Enablement and RFPs responsible for creating materials related to RFPs/RFIs in the sales process, as well as developing processes to support company messaging and other assigned tasks. The position drives RFP development and works with stakeholders across the organization to develop consistent, compelling responses.
Responsibilities:

Develop RFP and Proposal responses that continually highlights Workhuman’s strategic advantages as being the thought leader, product innovator and global leader in the recognition industry

Analyze RFP requirements and assists sales team with developing strategic solutions

Prepares proposals by determining concept; gathering and formatting information; input proper corporate branding elements, writing drafts; obtaining approvals.

RFPs/proposal content follow Workhuman messaging/creative and branding standards

Lead efforts in designing and preparing differentiated proposal/RFP’s

Understands project deadlines and meets expectations with thought and care

Technical skills with Qvidian
Project Management:

Coordinate all aspects of RFI/RFP projects, from qualification to winning proposal creation

Update applicable responses into the Qvidian RFP Database

Gather information from subject matter experts (SME’s )

Ensure that sales contributors are following the outlined processes

Meets proposal deadlines by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, and approval; entering and monitoring tracking data; coordinating requirements with contributors; contributing proposal status information to review meetings; transmitting proposals.

Write in a clear and consistent format to answer each customer’s questions

Update Qvidian RFP database as needed; creating new records

Improves proposal-writing results by evaluating and re-designing processes, approach, coordination, and boilerplate; implementing changes.
Product Knowledge:

Understand the Total Rewards, Recognition industry; blogs, analyst reports, technical details of software, competition, etc.

Key role of the Proposal Writer is strategic, not tactical. Thorough knowledge and experience of product positioning, explaining key benefits and targeting customer’s needs, working as a product evangelist , working in tangent with the sales team to formulate a solution.

Helps to drive a competitive solution based on client and market requirements, product roadmap and positioning needs. Develop and position a company market plan by working with all departments to execute.

Understand competitive landscape to position product features and futures, and applying to RFP/proposal content.

3-5 years in the proposal industry
