Time2Track, a Liaison company, is seeking an experienced, highly motivated Product Owner looking for a new challenge and an opportunity to join a growing team and product.

The Time2Track Product Owner will work closely with Time2Track’s Vice President, engineering team, and Liaison’s product team to plan and prioritize the product roadmap and ensure successful feature development and delivery.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Partner with Time2Track Vice President to:
    • Research and analyze market, the users, and the roadmap for the product
    • Follow our competitors and the industry
    • Define product vision, roadmap and growth opportunities
    • Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy
    • Plan and prioritize product feature backlog and development for the product
  • Serve as Product Owner for one or more Scrum teams to:
    • Provide backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories
    • Lead the planning of product release plans and set the expectation for delivery of new functionalities
    • Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals
    • Ensure that the team always has a well-groomed backlog of prioritized work

Requirements and qualifications

  • Previous working experience as a Product Owner for 2+ year(s) is desired, however we will consider candidates that have work experience as developers, project managers or IT/application support that show very high potential and a strong desire to enter product management.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Self-starter and independent worker; ability to understand what needs to be done and do it
  • Attention to detail
  • Creative thinker with vision
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile process and best practices
  • Experience working with offshore development teams
  • Experience working cross-functionally and enthusiasm for working with a distributed team

Not required, but helpful

  • Experience with hands-on user testing
  • Experience launching a new product, including establishing operational processes for the product release
  • Experience working with sales and marketing to develop a go-to-market strategy for a new product
  • Higher Education industry familiarity
