The objective of the Product Manager role is to sustain QSR’s market leading position for its core portfolio product. The successful candidate will be required to grow the market for qualitative data analysis software within its traditional academic (and emerging professional research and industry professionals) market by introducing new research tools, product innovations and cloud-based infrastructure.

Product Strategy

  • Define and manage product, business and portfolio strategies to enable the business to achieve its commercial objectives
  • Develop a short-term and long-term product roadmap  for NVivo and companion products and champion throughout the business
  • Develop, align and communicate the product roadmap for NVivo
  • Ensure an appropriate cadence to planning and documentation to facilitate a validated continuous development and release model

Product Performance

  • Manage product performance, including direct accountability for revenue and profitability targets
  • Review product analytics, product metrics and customer sentiment and use this across the business to inform short and long term business decisions
  • Develop robust process for issue monitoring, escalation and resolution
  • Discover and apply customer and market needs to the performance statistics and use cases of the portfolio

Customer Experience and Design

  • Brainstorm new product solutions
  • Prototype and test customer features and processes
  • Create customer story maps that feed into the Design process
  • Brief and qualify the response to portfolio requests working with the development and technology groups within QSR to ensure customer needs are being delivered on

Research and Analysis

  • Review market landscape including Suppliers, Technology, Social Trends, Buyers, Influencers, Indirect Competitors
  • Monitor market changes and competitor value propositions
  • Provide competitor analysis as required to support the needs of the regional sales teams
  • Define and size target markets in conjunction with QSR’s segmentation modelling
  • Source, evaluate and present new product opportunities for the business which are aligned to the company’s commercial objectives
  • Set product pricing through research and market understanding, in association with your Finance Business Partner and utilizing agreed pricing strategies for the business

Stakeholder Management

  • Write and present businesses cases for new products
  • Collaborate with Commercial Finance and other key stakeholders to incubate new concepts and manage it through the Stage & Gate and Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes
  • Engage Marketing to align value proposition with broader marketing message and brand
  • Provide leadership across the business to oversee and drive successful product launches
  • Engage other key business functions and plan go-to-market activities
  • Manage external vendors on cloud platform build as well as internal Product Owner and Project Manager
  • Manage GTM documentation and product/project health in association with project managers and marketing portfolio manager

What we expect from you?

  • At least five years’ experience working as a Product Manager in a software, SaaS or related field
  • Demonstrable experience leading cross-functional teams and/or projects  
  • Ability to develop and defend robust commercial models, including annual revenue forecasts
  • Working exposure to human centred design and agile software development processes
  • High-level written and verbal communication skill, both technical and non-technical
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, from customer support to board level
