: Principal Solutions Engineer I

TrueMotion is looking for an experienced enterprise software Solutions Sales Engineer who wants to make an impact at a growing startup, and help save lives on the road. 


  • Drive the technology evaluation stage of the sales process with our prospects
  • Elicit prospects and customers business, functional and technical requirements
  • Show the value of our market-leading mobile telematics and big data analytics solutions
  • Understand and address prospect and customer questions and objections
  • Help prospects understand TrueMotions technology and understand its advantages
  • Lead the configuration, implementation and execution of customer trials
  • Lead the SOW development processes
  • Be the voice of the customer and help define the direction of TrueMotions product roadmap
  • Be the authority on use of smartphone telematics across insurance, automotive, financial services and other industries
  • Travel nationally as required


  • 3-5 years as a Solutions or Sales Engineer for enterprise applications (esp. mobile, business, analytics apps)
  • Technical aptitude to understand how our solutions work and how they work with customer business systems and processes
  • Sold $250K+ ARR deals & exceeded sales targets
  • Hands-on experience with 
    • enterprise SaaS application configuration and APIs
    • smartphone technology, apps, and SDKs
    • cloud computing technologies like AWS
    • statistical analysis techniques and visualization tools (we use Tableau)
    • database technology and SQL
  • Proficiency with enterprise software implementation methodologies
  • Ability to influence through persuasion, negotiation, understanding, and consensus building
  • Unimpeachable verbal, written and visual communication (incl. whiteboard, powerpoint)
  • Strong empathy for customers AND passion for revenue and growth
  • Advanced written/verbal communications and ability to tailor communications to different audiences  
  • Bachelor's degree (BS technical degree preferred)
