Develop and enhance automated tests and frameworks. Influence software/firmware design to maximize testability and automation potential. Work with developers and functional testers to create test specifications from user stories and requirements and transform selected tests into an automated test suite. Triage defects and effectively communicate parameters to developers for rapid reproduction and fix. Develop test plan and procedures for testing new products and sustaining efforts. Install and setup test environment. Prioritize automation and manual efforts. Use highly collaborative abilities and strong communications skills (oral and written) to report issues to developers, managers and program through direct communication, use of bug tracking system, triage and abilities. Coach test execution resources for running tests (manual and automated) and collecting results. Implement automation capabilities throughout the entire software development lifecycle including, functional, performance, scale and stress. Initiate software test efforts for individual products.

 

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree or U.S. equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or in a related field, plus 5 years of professional experience developing automated software tests using programming languages (including Python and C/C++) for Graphical User Interface ("GUI") and Command Line Interface ("CLI") testing. Must also have the following: 3 years of professional experience developing Application Program Interface ("API") automation tests and test frameworks; 1 year experience working with embedded firmware and debugging/triage skills; 1 year of professional experience applying Contiguous Integration concepts and processes to the software building and delivery process; 1 year of professional experience conducting system and network management on Windows and Linux operating systems; 1 year of professional experience testing software for embedded systems for control, navigation, manipulation, sensors, and videos as applied to robotics; 1 year of professional experience testing connectivity communications for multiple points (including Bluetooth and TCP/IP); 1 year of professional experience utilizing test management systems (including JIRA, Redmine, Bugzilla, or Axosoft) to plan and execute software testing activities. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of experience, the employer will accept a Master's degree or U.S. equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or in a related field, plus 3 years of professional experience developing automated software tests using programming languages (including Python and C/C++) for Graphical User Interface ("GUI") and Command Line Interface ("CLI") testing. Must also have the following: 3 years of professional experience developing Application Program Interface ("API") automation tests and test frameworks; 1 year experience working with embedded firmware and debugging/triage skills; 1 year of professional experience applying Contiguous Integration concepts and processes to the software building and delivery process; 1 year of professional experience conducting system and network management on Windows and Linux operating systems; 1 year of professional experience testing software for embedded systems for control, navigation, manipulation, sensors, and videos as applied to robotics; 1 year of professional experience testing connectivity communications for multiple points (including Bluetooth and TCP/IP); 1 year of professional experience utilizing test management systems (including JIRA, Redmine, Bugzilla, or Axosoft) to plan and execute software testing activities.
