We are seeking entry-level to Principal Pre-Sales Consultants to match capabilities of our Anzo product to business problems in the data management and analytics space.  Pre-Sales is all about showing value to the customer. We're looking for smart self-starters with strong analytical and problem-solving skills in the modern data management and data engineering space to be the pointy-end of the spear for Cambridge Semantics.  

Pre-Sales Consultants influence and support the sales process with a powerful combination of technical product knowledge, industry domain expertise and business acumen.  You will work alongside sales account managers and Field Architects to define and execute strategy to solve client problems and win business. Pre-Sales at Cambridge Semantics is a broad discipline that encompasses elements of data science, data engineering, software engineering, consulting and business analytics.  Individuals with technical or business backgrounds who enjoy immersing themselves in new technologies, enjoy working with customers and are motivated to find excellent solutions to tough problems can excel in our environment. 
In addition to experienced Pre-Sales, Sales Engineering or Technical Sales professionals, we encourage candidates new to Pre-Sales with any relevant background or experience to apply.
Key Responsibilities
  • Position Anzo to rapidly deliver value in diverse and exciting industries such as Manufacturing, Pharma, Financial Services and Defense
  • Understand difficult technical and business challenges in domains such as drug discovery and research, IoT, marketing/sales, and data management
  • Develop a comprehensive knowledge of Anzo and related software products
  • Establish a working knowledge of graph and semantic technologies - the emerging data standards for AI
  • Create customer-specific product positioning and strategy to drive Anzo product and services sales
  • Work with Pre-Sales Engineering to produce customized demos to win and grow within accounts
  • Work with Pre-Sales Engineering and Field Engineering to assure engagements deliver on the vision sold to the customer
  • Build deep relationships within customer accounts that span the entire account life cycle 
  • Lead responses to RFI, RFP and other bid activities
  • Some travel required
Education & Experience
Strong candidates will have many but not necessarily all of the following:
  • Technical, business or science degree relevant to enterprise software, data analytics or business domains
  • Professional services or customer interface experience
  • Strong communication, presentation, and writing skills
  • Ability to analyze complex business problems and apply technical solutions
  • Familiarity with data management and analytics platforms
  • Familiarity with graph databases or semantic technologies
  • Familiarity with the enterprise software and solutions sales cycle
  • Pre-Sales, Technical Sales, or Sales Engineering experience
  • Background and interest in industry domains including Pharma, Financial Services and IOT
