We are looking for a Payer EDI Associate to join our Knowledge and Decision Services team within our Technology Enabled Services division. Your job will be to research, communicate, and manage complex payer and industry changes that impact athenahealth and its transmission of data to payers and vendors. But enough about us, lets talk about you.
You are a strong project manager with an interest in optimizing processes both within athenahealth and the greater healthcare industry. You enjoy critical thinking, driving results, and solution design, but your passion is working as a team to leave things better than you found them.
The Team: Our Knowledge and Decision Services team is responsible for building and maintaining payer connections that enable the electronic transfer of information between athenahealth and the various payers, clearinghouses, vendors, and collection agencies within the healthcare industry.
Job Responsibilities

Scope, implement, and maintain Payer EDI connections by coordinating with internal (athenahealth) and external (insurance companies/ clearinghouses/ collection agencies) stakeholders.

Develop a comprehensive understanding of athenahealths revenue cycle management system in order to design and implement cross-functional solutions to payer changes.

Investigate and resolve Payer EDI issues, particularly those related to connectivity errors.
