We are hiring for a Member of Technical Staff (MTS) in our Client Dashboards and Reporting team within the athena intelligence organization. This opportunity is to work with the Insights product, a new self-service platform to create a variety of dashboards that will help our clients understand their practice performance better. More specifically, you will be working on the backend aspects of this dashboard application that will ingest governed data and serve UI requests in an efficient and performant manner.

Job Responsibilities

Contribute to accurate, unambiguous technical design specifications

Deliver customer value in the form of high-quality software components and services

Estimate the size of development tasks in story points

Understand and follow coding conventions, architectures, and best practices

Solid design, coding, testing and debugging skills

Resolves technical/production issues through debugging, research, and investigation

Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment

Participate in code reviews for ongoing projects to ensure highest code quality
Typical Qualifications

2-4 years of experience in software development in an Agile environment

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent

Must be able to write and understand complex SQL queries. Have the ability to debug and troubleshoot them to optimise performance

Experience in Java or any high level programming language

Experience with Node.js

Good understanding of distributed, columnar databases

Exposure to AWS or any cloud based development is preferred
