Seismic : Marketing Operations Analyst

  • Maintain and optimize Marketo, including but not limited to lead lifecycle operational programs, data enrichment, lead scoring, sourcing and segmentation
  • Assist marketers with development of marketing campaigns to ensure ongoing and future campaigns are tracked appropriately
  • Ensure compliance with email marketing laws and regulations, including CAN-SPAM, CASL, and GDPR; educate internal users on email marketing regulations and best practices for remaining compliant
  • Partner with Salesforce administrators to ensure database health, maintain lead lifecycle operational stability, guide sales and marketing alignment and recommend process improvements
  • Assist marketing team with A/B and multivariate testing to optimize campaigns
  • Develop a deep understanding of our target buyer personas and customer journeys, to ensure that audience segments, personas and target lists are accurate
  • Create and maintain operational documentation including the mapping of workflows and procedures
  • Support sales and marketing alignment through effective and consistent communication
  • Ensure accurate collection of the data points needed to deliver critical marketing metrics, that will enable data-driven decisions throughout the organization, including but not limited to marketing program performance, ROI, funnel metrics and revenue attribution
  • Continually improve and optimize operational programs and metrics
  • Support demandgen, events, customer and product marketing and account-based marketing initiatives and programs
  • Create operational efficiency for the various marketing teams by proactively identifying areas for improvement and implementing new and improved processes and workflows
  • Establish and follow best practices in campaign and lead management
  • Train marketers on how to use the technology in our stack and continually educate the team on new features and best practices
  • Troubleshoot and correct issues with our tech stack and operational processes as they arise, always with a mind towards best practices and viable and scalable long-term solutions


  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of solid marketing automation platform experience; Marketo certification strongly preferred
  • 5+ years of lead lifecycle management strategies
  • Experience with implementing account-based marketing strategies
  • Familiarity with Salesforce CRM preferred
  • Familiarity with CAN-SPAM, CASL and GDPR regulations and how to implement marketing operations processes to comply
  • Strong ability to collaborate within the marketing operations and marketing team as well as with the Salesforce admin team
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Extremely detail-oriented, and deadline-driven; fanatical about checking own work, with high standards for accuracy and quality
