Profitero is on the forefront of the eCommerce revolution, providing brands with analytics and insights that help them sell more products on Amazon, Walmart.com and other leading eCommerce sites.

We’re more than doubling our eCommerce business every year and looking for a creative and strategic-minded Industry & Event Marketing Manager to help us grow even faster. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing Profitero’s event and industry partner marketing strategy to help drive awareness and demand for our solutions.

To succeed, you will have to be more than just a good planner — you’re going to need to become an expert in the eCommerce space so you can ensure our brand is investing the right amount of energy, in the right places and putting forward the right content to win. 

Job responsibilities:

  • Research and be aware of all of the industry events attended by our potential buyers and influencers and strategically prioritize which to sponsor, attend and speak at
  • Devise and execute all creative elements for events (trade booths, give-aways, collateral) and manage all logistical details for event support 
  • Proactively pitch Profitero’s industry experts to speak at relevant events and help ensure the content being presented is relevant and compelling for audiences
  • Travel to attend events, representing the company  
  • Efficiently manage an events budget 
  • Develop well-thought-out and comprehensive promotion plans to ensure Profitero events are well attended and sales meetings are secured in advance  
  • Track the ROI and effectiveness of events using SalesForce.com 
  • Develop and nurture partnerships and relationships with industry and professional organizations in the eCommerce market 
  • Co-develop webinars and other joint marketing efforts with complementary solutions and partners in the eCommerce landscape
  • Coordinate logistics and best practices for Profitero’s virtual events (virtual conferences & webinars) — continually seek to make our virtual events more engaging and interactive 

Experience & skills:

  • 3-5 years experience in a B2B Marketing Communications, Events or Partner Marketing Role 
  • Demonstrated excellent copywriting and PowerPoint skills (work samples are required)
  • Experience building strategic, well thought out event strategies 
  • History of working successfully with sales teams

Additional experience (a plus, but not required):

  • Knowledge / experience marketing to eCommerce decision makers and buyers within CPG or non-CPG industries (electronics, apparel, toys, etc.)
  • Speaking experience
  • Familiarity with marketing automation and CRM tools (Marketo & SalesForce.com)
  • Experience with virtual event and conference technology
