A unique opportunity exists at Youtopia® Meals for a self-starter with a growth mindset to join our start-up where innovation is valued. We need an iOS Engineer to build our iOS product and evolve it over time.

As our iOS Engineer, you will:

• Build advanced applications for the iOS platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
• Work on bug fixes to improve application performance.
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
• Commit code every day and push up a PR for your peers to review. Likewise, you will review PRs from your peers.
• Actively help improve our practices and approaches to building apps.
• Provide level of estimates for features, bug fixes and upgrades.
• Research and share industry innovations and trends.

What you bring to the table:

• You love being a developer and are passionate about mobile applications.
• You are in love with UI/UX and are always looking for ways to push what can be done.
• You have a lot of experience in UIKit/CoreAnimation and know how to bring interesting animations to life.
• You have a good understanding of the network and data layer and are able to craft solutions to make an app feel lightning fast.
• You are delivery focused
• You want to ship a product to users, get their feedback and iterate. This drive to ship enables you to overcome obstacles and breakdown hard problems into solvable chunks to make forward progress.
• You’re a natural problem-solver and willing to take initiative

Required experience and education:

• 5+ years iOS development experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent experience
• Have published multiple iOS apps in the app store
• Experience in Objective-C
