Rave is looking for a Finance Intern, to start in January 2020, who can be successful working both independently and in a team setting, enjoy working in a fast-paced changing environment and possess a positive attitude. This position reports to the Senior Accountant. The ideal candidate is one who demonstrates a clear understanding of the accounts payable processes and who demonstrates solid decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

** Note: This position is intended as an internship opportunity for a current student with 25 - 40 hours/week availability.

What you'll do:

  • Assist Senior Accountant in monthly close process
  • Responsible for accurate coding and entry of vendor invoices into accounting system for both US & Canadian entities
  • Review all invoices for appropriate documentation & approvals prior to payment
  • Review and process expense reports and receipts according to company policy
  • Maintain Accounts Payable and vendor files
  • Collect & maintain W9 forms from vendors
  • Assist Senior Accountant with annual audit as needed
  • Assist Finance team with ad-hoc projects as needed

Who you are:

  • Currently pursuing bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Proficiency with email and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
  • Maintain the highest standards of accuracy and precision; detail-oriented, highly-organized and resourceful
  • Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently work within fixed timeframes and meet deadlines
  • Exceptional work ethic, team mentality, positive attitude, highly-driven, self-motivated
  • Experience with automated expense reporting systems a plus, but not required
  • Experience with a General Ledger Accounting System a plus, but not required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
