Workbar is seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial Events and Strategic Partnerships Manager to lead its events and partnerships program.  The ideal candidate will be a self-starter that is excited to create event and partnership processes that drive leads and community activation experiences. Reporting directly to Workbar’s Head of Sales and Marketing, the Events and Strategic Partnerships Manager will focus on developing and executing high quality, mission-driven, impactful event and partnership strategies.

Duties and responsibilities include:

External Events:

  • Proactively sell our meeting rooms and event spaces to outside companies to significantly increase non-member revenue.

  • Develop and manage an external event program that effectively drives brand awareness.    Produce two successful events per month that showcase and build the Workbar brand.

  • Develop and manage the programming of hyper-localized events within the region with the goal of lead generation and community engagement.

Internal Events:

  • Provide overall support to the Head of Operations in producing  a relevant and consistent (weekly) member event program with the goal of increasing member engagement and retention.

Strategic Partnerships:

  • Proactively engage partnerships that will help connect members to resources that will grow their businesses.

  • Source, negotiate and execute brand partnership and event sponsorship opportunities.  Maintain an active pipeline of opportunities and a consistent closing cycle. Act as the Account Manager of the partnership to ensure satisfaction.


  • Build and implement an event strategy for the region

    • Budgets

  • Set the overall strategy for what a successful event looks like and how to execute on it.

    • Driving awareness

    • Securing attendees

    • Check-in

    • On-site experience

    • Follow-up

    • KPI development and tracking

  • Oversee day-to-day execution of events

  • Ensure compliance with all local laws and regulations for events programming


  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in events and/or partnership experience.

  • Strong relationship builder with community development experience.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high emotional intelligence.

  • You are motivated by delighting customers, driving new business and achieving goals.

  • Strong work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit. Workbar is growing and each employee is given significant responsibility and autonomy. You will be expected to pitch in and assist the entire team as needed.
