As part of our engineering team growth, we are hiring a new engineering leader to support front-end and web development-centric engineers across our two delivery teams. You will be responsible for supporting and growing the team, managing change as we grow further (including iterating on our processes and how we work, splitting off new teams, etc), and helping each of the engineers on your team to be as effective and successful as possible.
We're a small team today, growing into a larger team over the coming months and years. There's a lot of work to do, and we'd love your help.
Who you are:
- You have strong experience building and leading teams developing web applications, including shaping team structures and ways of working (as opposed to executing someone else's process)
- You are great at asking questions, figuring out what needs to be done, building consensus, and executing
- You are a committed servant leader, focused on enabling and empowering teams and people to achieve big results
- You love learning new things and teaching others what you know
- You are excited about data, and measuring and quantifying the things that make successful engineering teams
- You have outstanding communication and collaboration skills
Bonus points if:
- You have led engineering teams at a growing startup in the past, and loved it
- You have a strong technical background in front-end web development
Location: on-site in Boston (theoretically; but remote for the near term)
