Director, Strategic HR Business Partner

ERT is looking for an experienced HR leader to join our team for a one year (fixed term) assignment. The ideal candidate will provide strategic and operational leadership of HR for the assigned business unit, region, or function. Partner with key business leaders on opportunities to leverage people to meet corporate strategic plans.

Responsibilities

  • Understand business strategy; partner with leadership team to create implement business strategy.
  • Advise and influence management levels on all aspects of people management and leadership focusing on performance management, organization design, development and effectiveness.
  • Design and implement retention plans and workforce planning/strategies. Manage and recommend improvements to goal setting, performance management processes and learning and development programs. Ensure progress on employee engagement initiatives.
  • Develop organizational capability for the unit or region. Lead talent review/succession plan program and drive to ensure that follow up actions are implemented to develop leaders and upgrade talent.
  • Develops and implement best in class HR practices across the unit or region to support business objectives, strategic priorities and company philosophy.  Manage HR resources as assigned.
  • Ensure legal compliance with applicable laws and labor regulations and maintain company policies and procedures and communicate changes as applicable to employees.
  • Participate and rollout HR projects representing the groups business and HR needs.
  • Participates in key hiring and promotion decisions and in resolution of employee issues.
  • Participates in relevant leadership team meetings to develop operating plans and ensure that the unit has the people, organization and culture to enable it to execute effectively to meet near term and longer range goals.
  • Pro-actively identifies key business issues and the related people, organizational and cultural implications.
  • Provide HR support and consultation regarding employee relations issues to management.
  • Supports key change management needs and the development of a high performance culture.
  • Advise and influence management levels on all aspects of people management and leadership focusing on performance management, organization development and effectiveness, and employee productivity.
  • Design and implement retention plans and workforce strategies. Ensure progress on employee related issues to contribute to our “best places to work” initiatives.
  • Track HR metrics to facilitate decision making.
  • Responsible for organization development, change management, leadership development, diversity, and the enhancement of performance of the unit.
  • Provide HR support and consultation regarding employee relations issues to management.
  • Supports key change management needs and the development of a high performance culture.
  • May lead Center of Excellence functions such as local recruiting, global employee engagement, etc.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. 
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training and developing employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Required, Master's Degree Preferred
  • HR professional certification Preferred
  • 10-15 Years Experience in Human Resources Field; 5+ in leadership
  • Demonstrated strategic capability
  • Business Acumen
  • Ability to influence without direct authority
  • Demonstrated experience working in a global organization
  • Excellent collaboration and team building skills
