Wayfair is looking for a talented, self-motivated and entrepreneurial Senior Manager with demonstrated capabilities to streamline and optimize day-to-day operations for the fulfillment team. The ideal candidate is an energetic team player who understands how to effectively drive results in a fast-paced and rapidly growing company. The candidate must also be able to develop robust, trusting relationships with key cross functional teams, and identify opportunities to improve operational excellence/performance, command strong senior presence, and build a team of high performing Process Managers. This candidate must also have an interest in innovating to solve business problems creatively and a willingness to immediately tackle key challenges.

Functions/ Major Responsibilities:

  • Standardizing process across fulfillment operations across the network
  • Creating a culture of continuous process improvement
  • Waste elimination and practicing or lean methodology
  • Acting as a Senior Coach to fulfillment center Site Leaders & Sr. Operations Managers (Process Improvement Champions) in the field
  • Collaborate effectively with groups company-wide, including Engineering, Warehouse Operations, Planning, Category Management, Supplier Performance, Data Integration, Merchandising, Product Performance and Logistics.
  • Own and support various projects start to finish
  • Impacting product quality, efficiency, safety ergonomics that all lead to increase speed of product to customer

Skills & Experience:

  • MBA preferred, Bachelor Degree with 10+ years of operations improvement, project management, and/or entrepreneurial management experience
  • Analytical and process improvement skills
  • Field operational leadership in a fulfillment/manufacturing environment
  • Relevant experience in Lean Six Sigma/Continuous Process Improvement practices
  • Exceptional communication skills across various levels of leadership and ability to partner with all levels of operation in the field
  • Ability to inspire others to strive towards a culture of Continuous Process Improvement- with high energy and coaching approach
  • Some manufacturing experience preferred
  • Track record of investing in teams and growing leaders and organizational capabilities
  • Process-oriented with strong analytical and communication skill
