Quick Base: Director of Marketing, Strategic Accounts
Quick Base has a unique opportunity to apply account-based tactics and content to capture and grow strategic accounts, leveraging the company’s differentiated position to target a wide range of buyers in the same account around the same enterprise-wide problem.
 
The director of marketing for strategic accounts will partner with sales on planning, execution and ongoing measurement of account-based programs for our largest customers and some related large prospects. This role will be the foundation for building out a global ABM practice, establishing a model for success with sales and creating practices to shape how Quick Base markets to strategic accounts globally.
 
This leader will shape our approach to deliver authentic, personalized programs in partnership with sales. You’ll be hands on with our most successful customers, working with our strong advocates to help educate the rest of the organization – and other companies like theirs – on the value of the Quick Base platform. The right person will be highly motivated by sales success, naturally curious, customer obsessed and a fantastic collaborator.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Translate sales objectives (both opportunity and relationship-based) into aligned account-level plans for marketing messages, tactics and content
  • Define account-based goals and objectives in conjunction with sales
  • Provide data and insights on strategic accounts, identifying opportunities proactively and uncovering the buyers who are driving change
  • Work to select the most appropriate candidate accounts for one-to-one marketing execution
  • Educate sales on the role of marketing within strategic accounts, demonstrate success through examples and develop repeatable practices
  • Execute marketing programs on behalf of sales, and demonstrate to reps how they can execute program elements on their own
  • Identify internal and external resources for use with strategic account marketing execution
  • Create compelling account-level value messaging and associated content assets
  • Identify and mitigate any conflicts with outreach to strategic accounts
  • Work with campaigns and demand center teams to leverage systems, processes, tactics and content assets for strategic account engagement planning
  • Orchestrate and lead ongoing account check-ins with account executives to ensure account goals, key contacts and account plans remain on track, and discuss upcoming account requirements and modifications
  • Internally promote account-specific engagement marketing plans, updating these plans based on account executive collaboration
 
Qualifications:
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in B2B software marketing, idealy in a strategic accounts (field marketing or ABM) role
  • Proven experience collaborating with sales required, some enterprise sales experience strongly preferred
  • Deep understanding of enterprise B2B sales and marketing models
  • Experience using data and insights to create successful marketing plans
  • Marketing measurement and analytics experience
  • Experience with both sales- and marketing-led demand creation models
  • Bachelor’s degree required

After being out of the office for Empower and vacation I was checking in on the health of one of my accounts to see if they had registered for any University courses or submitted any Care cases etc. while I was away. I found they had submitted a Care case asking for ideas on how to set up a unique formula field that would count the number of records created each day and label each record with its number. I learned that this was an incredibly complex problem, so I got curious about this and decided to do a little more digging to see what I could set up. After a little tinkering I was able to come up with a creative, streamlined solution that I passed on to the client. They were thrilled I had taken the extra initiative to figure this out and we are slated to implement the solution in their app next week!

What's your favorite part about working at Quick Base?

My favorite part about working at Quick Base is getting to see all of the diverse ways our customers use it to solve their workflow problems. With such a versatile product I'm always fascinated to see how our customers have tailored it to suit their needs!

I work closely with teams across the organization to problem solve, and support them by providing legal advice. My day to day often includes contract negotiation, document drafting, calls with customers and vendors, corporate governance and compliance work, and keeping up with an ever-changing regulatory landscape.

Trusted means being a reliable resource to the teams that I support, and in turn, to our customers. It means being open when I don’t have an answer on the tip of my tongue, but then figuring out and providing that answer in time for it to be useful.

What's your favorite part about working at Quick Base?

I love the work environment. My coworkers are a major part of this—the people here work hard, are smart and creative, and are fun to be around. Everyone here contributes to moving the needle forward on our product and our in workplace. The way we work is another huge component—I love that we run our business on our product, we really live what we preach. I have a hand in creating the applications that I use every day to do my job. As a non-technical person, that feels really good.
