Director of Marketing Communications

Position Summary

HealthEdge is seeking a dynamic Director of Marketing Communications to join its growing marketing team. HealthEdge is transforming healthcare for health plans and you can be part of it.  We help health insurance companies change the way they interact with providers as well as impact patients to achieve better outcomes, all while lowering administrative and healthcare costs.  We are disrupting the way that health plans run mission critical administrative processes and work proactively with patients in the clinical arena.

This hire will be responsible for the planning, development and implementation of the company’s communications programs, utilizing all relevant channels, both external and internal, in support of company objectives and marketing goals. The Director of Marketing Communications is responsible for developing and implementing the communication vision for the HealthEdge brand, messaging,and unique position in the marketplace. This hire will direct the efforts of the communications and public relations team and coordinate at the strategic and tactical levels with other functions of the marketing team and overall organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategic marketing plans that support and drive communications, events, thought leadership and branding, taking ownership as needed and ensuring that activities and tasks are delegated across the team according to roles, skills and bandwidth.
  • Evaluate the company’s participation in various events, including industry trade shows, speaking opportunities and association events, ensuring that events are in line with marketing/sales goals and budget. Plans and executes events in collaboration with the team.
  • Responsible for planning and executing the HealthEdge User Conference, including all logistics and partner participation and budget.
  • Manage the company’s PR and media efforts including utilizing the outside agency. Sources spokespeople and customer references as needed while also acting as the company’s primary point of contact with the media.
  • Handle the company’s asset development (print, video, web, etc.) for maximum effectiveness, both in-house and via outside vendors.
  • Manage the day-to-day oversight of the Marketing program budget, invoices and POs, reviewing with departmental VP and/or Finance regularly.
  • Coordinate the appearance and availability of print and electronic materials; ensures brand guidelines stay up to date and are adhered to.
  • Execute content updates to the company’s website and other digital properties.
  • Create and execute HealthEdge’s social media program using appropriate platforms.
  • Manage all vendors associated with corporate branding, media and communications activities, including graphic design and public relations.

Qualifications

  • 7-10 years relevant marketing communications experience; B2B experience in healthcare, health insurance or enterprise software markets is required.
  • Demonstrated success planning and executing events, both online and offline, with established goals and metrics.
  • Ability to establish and manage priorities and drive projects to completion; strong organizational and time management skills, including vendor management.
  • Professional and positive approach, self-motivated, team player, dynamic, creative with the ability to work on own initiative.
  • Ability to manage, mentor and motivate a high-performing team.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • B.A./B.S. in Marketing, Business, Communications or related discipline.
