Overview

Reporting to the Vice President of Corporate Communications, this new senior role will be responsible for bringing social and digital acumen to a team adept at owned and earned media and a company looking to accelerate is overall social game – from its organic brand channels to its paid social approach to its activation of company leaders and its 3700 global employees.  This Director will personally manage 7-figure budgets, a global network of PR and social agencies, and an internal team of PR and social pros, in support of a top-10 SaaS company and its portfolio of market leading brands, including GoToMeeting, LastPass, Grasshopper and more. 

Responsibilities

  • Build and advance LogMeIn’s public image in ways that directly impact valuation, revenue, and employer branding
  • Develop and personally drive corporate external communications programs, partnering closely with company executives, marketing (Brand), HR (Recruiting/Employer Branding), investor relations, CSR, as well business unit leadership (GMs)
  • Lead and manage LogMeIn’s external communications team, including global PR, analyst relations, and social media staff
  • Direct global PR and social agencies, and manage the strategy, budget and day-to-day and execution of dedicated partners in North America, Europe and Asia
  • Shape and own LogMeIn’s overall social strategy, including owned channels, 3rd party communities, social selling and broader employee activation
  • Implement and accelerate employee advocacy programs including but not limited to executive thought leadership (personal brand building) on social, social selling, social recruiting, and broad social advocacy via the activation of LogMeIn’s 3700 global employees
  • Train and develop executives in the art of media interviews (media training), strategic analyst interactions, social media, and public speaking.
  • Engage with C-level executives, marketing leadership, business unit leadership, and HR leadership to inform comms planning,
  • Partner with the VP of Corporate Communications, as well as Internal Communications functions to optimize and where necessary design incident response and crisis communications plans and processes
  • Set, track and report on KPIs to marketing leadership, BU leadership, executive leadership and other key stakeholders

Qualifications

  • BS/BA with 12-15+ years’ experience in a PR/Social role. Corporate experience required and a mix of corporate and agency experience preferred
  • Strong and proven track record of digital and social approaches to external communications
  • Direct experience implementing and managing employee (social) advocacy programs
  • Experience in B2B technology required, experience in B2C technology preferred
  • Analyst relations experience preferred
  • Previous experience managing agency and internal teams
  • Comfort and confidence with C-suite and company leaders
  • Natural and intellectual curiosity into the markets and technologies you cover
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to challenge the status quo and regularly think of ways to do things differently, more efficiently and with greater productivity
  • Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills
