Director of Business Intelligence Agency Distribution and Service Business Intelligence

As a leader in the Agency Distribution and Service Insights team, the Director of Business Intelligence leads the management and adoption of self-service reporting and visualization tools. In this role, you will manage a highly skilled team of analysts that has expertise on Business Intelligence tools, leveraging technology to drive information throughout the organization. You will focus on building new capabilities that enable decision makers with self-service access to data and information. This position may partner with other groups, including Data Office, Information Management and operational management. The preferred office location is Boston MA with secondary office locations in Dover NH, Plano TX, Seattle, WA, Indianapolis, IN, Fairfield, OH or Wausau, WI. We are also open to a working remote scenario.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide all ongoing automated reporting for AD&S Operations via actionable business intelligence (BI) solutions
  • Support operations with efficient access to data (data cubes)

  • Leverage technology to consolidate, standardize, automate, and distribute reports

  • Create efficient access and enhance the user experience of business intelligence solutions

  • Manage inventory of business intelligence assets to reflect evolving organizational needs

  • Develop talent for the organization
  • Develop and monitor measurement strategy to assess efficiency of BI platforms

  • Implement a continuous improvement culture in team, leading to effective problem solving and value creation for the organization

  • Champion advanced utilization of business intelligence technology across functional roles throughout the organization

  • Contribute and/or own the development of strategic vision and roadmaps for BI solutions

  • Manage relationships with stakeholders, internal and external partners.



Qualifications:


  • Graduate degree in related field or equivalent training required

  • At least 7 years of progressively more responsible experience in a financial and/or project management environment with exposure to project planning, agile methodology, coding languages and organizational processes.

  • At least 3 years of progressive experience working directly with senior level stakeholders & partners with exposure to communicating priorities, managing project assignment and trade-off.

  • Strong negotiation skills also required. Prior management experience preferred.

  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools, such as Microstrategy, Tableau, Power BI, etc..

  • Ability to work independently to high standards of quality and timeliness

  • Solid prioritization skills, with excellent customer focus
