Digital Producer

829 Studios
300 Massachusetts Ave
Boston, MA 02115

Who We Are

829 Studios is a Boston-based integrated marketing agency that delivers measurable results through thoughtful strategy, design and development. We’re seeking a contract  Digital Producer (with potential for a full-time hire) who wants to do meaningful work with a fun, friendly and talented group of more than thirty strategists, designers and developers.

We take pride in delivering incredible integrated marketing services to more than two hundred clients throughout the world. Our diverse client roster provides a fresh mix of unique challenges and opportunities; we work with venture-backed startups, publicly traded companies, global non-profit organizations and more to understand their goals, craft solutions and deliver award-winning products.

What We’re Looking For

As a Digital Producer, you possess a passion for collaboration, the creative process and using technology to produce world-class websites for our clients. You’re familiar with how websites are built and have an eye for great-looking web page layouts. You’re flexible, understanding that priorities and needs often change quickly, as well as comfortable working with many cross-functional teams including strategy, design and development. To succeed, you should be both a creative and technical advocate who can problem-solve in the most efficient way possible.

This position will be an on-site contract hire, with the potential for a long-term role.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Producing WordPress websites including individual pages, constructing menu/navigation systems, and integrating plugins. Ideally, you are a WordPress guru who knows all of the ins-and-outs of producing WordPress sites.

  • Managing partner and client-side development teams including outlining their tasks, priorities, keeping them on time, and reviewing their progress.

  • Working as a conduit between our design/UX and development teams to create development guides, including functional requirements.

  • Managing the client feedback process and interpreting client requests in order to route them accordingly.

  • Adding SEO schema and meta data to the website infrastructure.

  • Setting up and managing necessary touch points between teams such as stand-ups, status, and hours review.  Participate in weekly allocation and roadmap meetings.

  • Responding to and resolving technical issues as they arise.  Effectively handle risk and escalate when needed.

  • Contributing to the development of methodologies, standards and best practices to streamline processes and create efficiencies for the production of digital work.

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • This position does not require development/coding expertise beyond the basics that are found in WordPress’ WYSIWYG editor.  We have an in-house development team that can help when things get technical - you just need to know enough to troubleshoot and communicate to the appropriate team member.

  • You should have a working knowledge of the Adobe suite of products, but you will not be expected to design websites or interfaces.  We have an in-house design team that will drive the creative direction and create assets when needed.

  • At least 3 years of digital agency experience as a Project Manager, Developer, Producer or comparable role creating impactful, well-crafted WordPress websites.

  • Experience in directing and participating in the full life cycle of a website build, including outlining functional specifications, scheduling and leading cross-functional teams, QA, bug resolution, and deployment.

  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills. You must be able to effectively communicate project goals and articulate the ideas behind the work we produce.

  • An understanding of integrated digital marketing and its various components.

  • A working knowledge of enterprise tools (Wrike, ActiveCollab, Excel, PowerPoint, Slack).

  • Experience working with large paid search / display campaigns.

  • Familiarity with other digital platforms such as e-mail marketing systems (ie: HubSpot, MailChimp) and components of integrated campaigns.
