: Design Operations Manager

Core Job Duties

  • Manage design operations, including resource allocation, scheduling, and access to tools to ensure timelines and business objectives are met
  • Act as a liaison between Design, Product Management, and Engineering, organizing how we take-in, prioritize, and execute work
  • Coordinate and maintain communications and clarity around design project status
  • Partner with IT, making sure the design team has access to the tools and systems they need to do their job
  • Create processes, frameworks and integrations to maximize designer efficiency and effectiveness, allowing designers to focus on designing
  • Surface areas where designers may be experiencing undue stress
  • Develop, manage, and communicate key quantitative metrics to design leadership regarding the health of design operations
  • Continuously seek out ways to improve the processes, practice, and culture of the design team
  • Conduct UX/UI product planning and lead departmental meetings and activities


  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a process-oriented mindset
  • Clear understanding of design thinking, agile project management, and design production processes
  • Ability to work cross functionally and collaboratively with Engineering, Product Management & Marketing handling multiple projects with tight deadlines
  • Ability to collect, manage, and communicate with quantitative and qualitative data
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High proficiency in Atlasssian JIRA and Confluence, especially in the creation and maintenance of dashboards
  • Knowledge of Sketch, Sketch Cloud, Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop & Illustrator), Invision, and Zeplin
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products, specifically Word and PowerPoint
  • Minimum of 5 years experience working with cross functional design teams including 2 years in leadership roles that includes requirements gathering, analysis and execution
  • Prior experience working as a UI or UX designer (preferred)
  • Bachelors degree in Design or related field (preferred)
