Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the CVS Retail Media Exchange (CMX) organization to help maximize vendor & CVS objectives & satisfaction including but not limited to: ROAS, incremental trips & site visits, category conversion, & re-engagement; Work in coordination with cross-functional teams including Front Store Marketing, Media, Merchandising, Digital, Loyalty & Personalization, Analytics & Finance to oversee everything from planning to implementation & close loop measurement of each campaign.
Act as internal advocate of CMX to CVS, driving engagement & CMX brand evangelization with all CVS vendors. Report to the Director of CMX Marketing Strategy & support all key sales enablement, monetization & ad product development initiatives. Own the development of strategic marketing brief & present to internal & external partners (e.g. creative, media); Collaborate with stakeholders on learning agendas, business cases & Marketing plans.
Coordinate cross-functional meetings to ensure project deliverable accountability, socialize progress, gather input from the appropriate partners to prioritize & consolidate new work & deliverables. Lead execution of project deliverables including, but not limited to, brief development, collaboration with Procurement, production deliverables, collaboration with Operations on field readiness, & Legal review of materials. Make recommendations on KPIs & partners with Analytics to establish program measurement plans & reporting.
Be the main point of contact & lead the CMX functional execution team, adapt plans & priorities to meet business objectives and/or operational challenges. Keep focused on long-term, strategic goals while executing against short-term objectives; Understand current & emerging marketing tactics & their potential ROI.
Represent the voice of the customer in marketing plan development & all aspects of the work; Define KPIs, interpret data & insights & turn these into actionable recommendations. Know how to get things done through formal channels as well as relationships with colleagues across the organization; Hold self & colleagues accountable for delivering results. Understand the links & connections between functional areas/business units & factor them into decisions & plans; Actively develop open & trusted relationships across the organization; Find common ground & acceptable alternatives that satisfy the needs of multiple stakeholders. Understand vendor needs & expectations across multiple market segments & how we differentiate from our competitors to deliver value for our customers & shareholders.
- 5+ years of marketing experience with a strong foundation of business, retailer, and consumer understanding.
- 3+ years cross-functional leadership experience.
- 2+ years of retail marketing or retail agency/strategy experience.
- 2+ years of digital marketing experience including examples of testing and validating emerging opportunities.
-1+ years of brand or category management experience, Beauty and/or Consumables a plus
-Significant experience leading, managing & overseeing multiple stakeholders (e.g. vendors, marketing agencies, media owners) & cross functional teams to achieve aggressive organizational goals
-Detail oriented marketer with a proven track record developing & managing Marketing Media sales collateral, presentations, reports, case studies & project plans
-Experience with relevant marketing technology, with a heavy focus on digital paid and owned channels
-Self-motivated, high capacity individual who can function and win in a demanding, performance-driven environment
-Excellent communication skills that can be effectively articulated in both written and oral forms across a diverse audience base
-Creative problem solver who can incorporate new learnings into existing plans and act decisively and independently.
- Bachelors or advanced degree in Business, Marketing or related field
- MBA preferred
