  • Architect scalable and highly available SaaS solutions that leverage Cloud (AWS, GCP) native services
  • Work as a technical leader in collaboration with the IT / Infrastructure and Engineering teams
  • Provide guidance to the software development team with respect to designing software applications that are optimized for hosting in the Cloud
  • Play a strategic role in the design and build of state-of-the-art application/infrastructure systems with a high emphasis on security
  • Improve team efficiency by increasing automation, removing bottlenecks, adherence to agile processes and promoting collaboration with the Product, Engineering and Customer Delivery organizations
  • Design scaling strategies and develop automation solutions for the purpose of testing, streamlining and implementing software in a SaaS environment
  • Migrate products and services from a co-location datacenter to the Cloud (preferably AWS) with minimal impact to business
  • Improve the current DevOps practices such as infrastructure as code, continuous integration and automated deployment
  • Collaborate and mentor members of the DevOps Managed Services team
  • Participate in the creation, maintenance, testing, and execution of the Disaster Recovery plan
  • Create, maintain and update system documentation

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of cloud-focused experience as a Systems Engineer or DevOps Engineer
  • 3+ years of experience as a Cloud Architect, focused on the AWS platform
  • 3+ years of experience with services on AWS, especially with EC2, VPC, ELB, RDS, Auto-Scaling, Route53, CloudWatch, Elastic Containers and Elastic Beanstalk
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect (CSA) certification is a huge plus
  • 5+ years of experience working in a Linux/Unix environment
  • 3+ years of experience with Kubernetes
  • 3+ years of experience using source control systems such as Git
  • 2+ years of experience using/working with continuous integration systems like Jenkins
  • Experience in migrating products and services from a co-location datacenter to Cloud (preferably AWS)
  • Experience in systems automation, virtualization, orchestration, continuous integration, deployment, and implementation
  • Experience in scaling distributed data systems, deploying and managing software in production environment and container-based service deployment using Docker and ability to use various open source technologies. Skills in infrastructure automation tools, for example, Chef, Ansible, Puppet, Salt is a plus
  • Project management experience with strong understanding of tools and automation frameworks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with the Atlassian Tools such as JIRA/Confluence
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp new technologies
  • Must be action oriented, capable of multitasking based on priorities
  • Strong team player who enjoys working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Ability to work under pressure, multiple deadlines and minimal supervision
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
